Gian Luca Nigro, Italian composer.
I began my musical career very young, at the age of 8, when I started studying piano at the “Giuseppe Martucci” conservatory in Salerno.
Over the years, growing up, I moved more into electronic music, researching and experimenting. I completed several courses, among which was a computerized electronic music course held by Maestro A. Capozzi (C.M.).
Later, came the first work activities and composition projects. I was responsible for the music of many stage shows, including “La Belle Epoque” by R. Caprara, “ Cene e Weekend con Delitto” with the cultural/performance association “Arte e Parte”, “Poncho Purpureo” by Milena Esposito and many others.
Simultaneously, I started playing in several musical formations, learning and experimenting in different styles, getting through diverse musical genres, taking part in various festivals and even organizing my own concerts. Throughout it all I always kept my own expressive dimension.
Currently, I produce and compose soundtracks in collaboration with several artists, directors, producers and television and film studios. My most recent project has been the series “Versipellis”, produced by RevokFilm S.R.L.
I also provide musical consultation, producing background music and jingles for such renowned television programmes as “Io Canto” (2010), “Italia’s Got Talent” (2011), “Amici” (2011-2012), “The Call” (2011), “Lo Show dei record” (2011), “Grande Fratello” (2012) and “Pechino Express” (2012-2013), Così Lontani Così Vicini (2013-2014).
As a musician, I am the co-founder and keyboard player of the symphonic rock project called “Goyah” (now recording the second album) and, at the same time, I’m devoting myself to my solo career as a composer.
