rEsistiamo is a collective documentary produced by Endemol and broadcast on Italia 1, portraying Italy during one of the most complex periods in its recent history. Through a mosaic of faces, voices, and remote testimonies, the film gives space to ordinary people sharing emotions, fears, hopes, and reflections shaped by a time of forced isolation.
The title, with the capital “E” at the heart of the word, highlights the dual meaning of resisting and existing: a collective declaration of presence and strength. Images of video calls and digital connections become the visual language of the narrative, symbolizing a community that, while physically separated, continues to remain united.
The docufilm was conceived from an idea by Simone Mele, editor, who—together with Fabrizio Montagner and Susanna Paratore—oversaw every aspect of the project. The entire production was carried out remotely, at every stage of the process. A team of authors, production staff, and editors collected, selected, and assembled the material sent in by the various participants, which was uploaded progressively to a shared cloud platform. This allowed everyone involved to follow the project’s progress simultaneously and work on it collaboratively, day by day.
rEsistiamo is an intimate and authentic portrait of everyday resilience, capable of transforming distance into connection and vulnerability into awareness.
